کلیفون (رزین) از شیره یا صمغ درختان تهیه می شود . این ماده برای زبر کردن سطح آرشه استفاده می شود تا با ایجاد اصطکاک از لیز خوردن آرشه روی سیم های ساز شما جلوگیری کند. بدون استفاده از کلیفون آرشه روی سیم های ساز لیز می خورد و صدای ساز بسیار ضعیف خواهد بود. کلیفون کمانچه مهرزاد با استفاده از مرغوب ترین مواد و تازه ترین صمغ های ایران ساخته شده است. تولید آن با توجه به فرمول بهترین کلیفن های دنیا (مشخصا لارسن) انجام شده است.

برای استفاده از کلیفون، باید اول موهای آرشه را سفت نمایید. سپس سطح آن را با استفاده از سنباده یا یک تکه فلز خراش دهید تا پودر شود. این کار باعث می شود کلیفون بیشتر به موهای آرشه بچسبد. بعد از آن انتهای موهای آرشه خود را روی کلیفون قراردهید و به آرامی روی کلیفون بکشید تا به نوک آرشه برسید. این کار را چند بار انجام بدهید. پس از هر بار استفاده از کلیفون، گرد و غباری که روی آن تشکیل شده است را به وسیله یک پارچه خشک و نرم پاک نمایید.
